Measuring at 6" x 4" (15.24cm x 10.16cm), the development board is easily attached (via connection cables) to the M8722NF main board. The development board is intentionally separated from the main board, unlike so many designs in today's market. The separation of the development board from the main board allows the user to test different designs without damaging, or altering, the main system.
The development board allows the user to easily connect the I/O pins from the main board to either LEDs, pull-up resistors or directly to optional components.
The board has also been designed to allow easy access to the I2C bus for interfacing and debugging. The user can connect to the I2C bus, via the I2C breakout area, and attach a logic analyzer or probe. User defined I2C applications can be easily constructed in the prototype area.
